Managed communication for marine repair shops
Keep Boat Owners Updated. Keep Your Crew Working.
Boat Service Desk turns your team's repair notes into clear customer updates, organized approval requests, and timely follow-ups.
We set it up, keep it organized, and help your team use it consistently. You keep your existing software.
Fictional example — demonstration only
Technician note
“Pump expected Thursday. Install date not confirmed.”
Customer message
“Your replacement pump is expected Thursday. We'll confirm the installation date after it arrives.”
Notice what did not happen: an expected parts date was not turned into a promised completion date.
Three simple steps
Your team adds a job update
A short note from the technician or service manager — typed in a simple form, in your team's own words.
Boat Service Desk prepares the message
We turn the note into a clear customer message. Anything involving price, timing promises, or safety waits for your shop's approval.
Your customer stays informed
The boat owner receives the update, can reply, and your team sees questions, approvals, and follow-ups in one place.
Who this is for
Independent marine repair shops and mobile marine service companies that:
- Have several repair jobs open at once
- Get repeated “any update on my boat?” calls and messages
- Depend on the owner or one service manager to answer everyone
- Can provide reliable repair-status information
- Want help without replacing their existing software
Not every shop has these problems. If your current setup already works well, we'll tell you so on the demo call.
What your shop provides
- Accurate job status, parts status, and estimate information
- Approved message templates and sender identity
- A named person who approves price or timing messages
- Customer contact details and communication consent
We cannot send accurate updates without accurate shop information. Your shop controls prices, estimates, approvals, and repair commitments — always.
What we automate — and what stays human
Automated, within your rules
- Drafting customer updates from technician notes
- Scheduled status summaries
- Estimate reminder sequences (limited, and they stop on reply)
- Flagging jobs with old or missing updates
- Collecting customer replies onto the right job
Always needs your approval
- New or changed prices
- Additional repair work
- Completion-date promises
- Refunds, disputes, and sensitive complaints
- Safety or mechanical advice
- Anything uncertain in the technician's note

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to replace our existing software?
No. Boat Service Desk works alongside the system you already use. For shops without a supported integration, we offer a simple mobile update form, a controlled CSV import, or an authorized shared-inbox connection where supported. Integrations depend on the systems your shop uses, and we never claim an integration works until it has been tested with your setup.
Can you send accurate updates on your own?
No — and we won't pretend to. We can only send accurate updates if your team provides accurate information. If information is missing or old, we flag the job and ask your staff. We never invent a progress report, a parts date, a price, or a completion date.
Do you make repair decisions?
Never. We do not perform repairs, diagnose boats, or make mechanical or safety decisions. Your shop controls prices, estimates, approvals, and repair commitments.
When is SMS available?
SMS depends on customer consent and sender registration being completed for your shop. Email is the starting channel. We will tell you plainly when SMS is ready for your account — not before.
Is this unlimited support?
No. This is a managed service with defined support hours, job limits, and message allowances, designed around scheduled updates and exception handling — not unlimited live support.
